I’m struggling
To find the good
In this day
In this week
But I found a little
Just a very little
Waiting for me
At home
On this sunny afternoon
I had to look for it
It was hard to see
But it was there
Waiting for me
The new
Amongst the old
Forcing its way up
Against resistance
Determined
To find a path forward

Christie, I’m feeling for you as it is evident that these past few days have clearly been a struggle. Your ability in this writing to express the wonderful gift of the little things that are not so little is heartwarming. Virtual hug to you, my friend.

I love discovering new (plant) life like this in the spring! You perfectly capture the joy it brings, even on a gloomy day. Hope your day/week improves!

Christie, those bulbs are bringing us the possibilities that await with springtime. May the gloomy, gray days pass on and bring lots of sunshine.

It’s amazing how the first sight of those bulbs can turn a mood, a day, a week around! I spotted mine on Sunday when we came home from Vermont! Your poem is one many can relate to! Thanks for sharing!
