Happy Poetry Friday, all! Catherine Flynn is our hostess this week and you can find all the poetry joy on her blog, Reading to the Core. Join us! Catherine wrote lovely haiku during December’s #haikuforhope. I am so glad she is sharing some of them for her post today, as I had missed a few along the way. Hope you are feeling better soon, Catherine!
My offering drifted down from the sky in a brief snow squall earlier this week.
We’ve been doing a bit of word collecting in my classroom this week, so I gathered up all the words that came to mind when snowflakes begin to tumble.
Many thanks for hosting this week, Catherine. Now let’s bring on the poetry!

Wonderful words to create snow pictures and poetry with, Christie! I love how the crystals landed on you finger and in your heart. Enjoy winter!

We really could use a few snowflakes “lingering” here, Christie. Sunny & mild, not in the mountains though. This is lovely.

Thank you, Linda. To be honest, we have none on the ground. More is coming tomorrow evening, but the snow from that squall went as fast as it came.

Your poem makes me wish for snowflakes instead of raindrops. Alas, but the temperature is a balmy 65, which is hard to complain about.

Our “real feel” today was below zero, so I’ll take a balmy 65 degree day, Margaret! 🙂

Thank you, Kay. I love it when it’s tumbling down, but not when I have to drive in it!

Your drifting, dancing crystals are absolutely delightful. We had snow last week and while most of it fell during the night, I stopped to watch the daytime flurry with three year old grandson..
