Unexpected cheerful visitor
Found
Amongst winter’s drab leaf litter
One never knows
Where or when or how
A small moment might take place
All you have to do is look

Thanks for wondering and wandering a bit with me today. Many thanks to the crew at Two Writing Teachers, and the extended SOL community, for giving us the time, space, and encouragement to live the writerly life here every Tuesday throughout the year and daily during the month of March.
I love this and how you relate it to a small moment. Also appropriate since the time change sort of signals the crossover (at least for me) from winter to spring.

I wondered what the small wonder would be, and then a lovely pop of color greeted me.

I’m still in bed due to my foot surgery recovery. I haven’t been outside in nearly two weeks so I appreciate you bringing a bit of spring to me this morning! I cannot imagine what will be in bloom by the time I get outside on the 18th!
